The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for JEE (Main) 2018. For admission on B.E, B.Tech and B.Arch courses under NITs, IIITs and other engineering colleges in India candidates have to sit for JEE (Main) 2018 Exam. Some selected candidates, who will qualify JEE (Main) 2018 Exam will appear for JEE (Advanced) exam for admission on IITs.
The Online Application for JEE (Main) will be started from 1st December 2017 and the last date of Online Application is 1st January 2018. The examination will be held in all the major cities all over India and abroad. The mode of examination will both Pen-paper based and Online.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE (Main) 2018
The CBSE made some small changes on the eligibility criteria for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018. All the details are given below.
■ Students who passed their 12th Class Board Exam or any equivalent exam in the year 2016 or 2017 are eligible for JEE (Main) 2018 Exam.
■ Those students, who will appear their 12th class Board exam in 2018, are also eligible for this entrance exam.
■ Candidates have to pass their 12th Exam with at least Five subjects, otherwise, they are not eligible. One candidate can seat for JEE (Main) exam 3 times only.
■ The date of birth of the applicant must be fall on or after 1st October 1993. For SC, ST and PwD students 5 years age relaxation available.
■ For all Indian candidates, Aadhaar number is mandatory at the time of Online Application. Candidates have to fill the application form of their Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth and Gender as per UIDAIs’ data. For J&K, Assam and Meghalaya candidates, they require entering their Ration Card/ Passport / Bank Account Number / Government ID card number.

• Online Application Start – 1st December 2017.
• Last Date of Online Application – 1st January 2018.
• Last Date of Online/Offline Payment – 2nd January 2018.
• Download Online Admit Card for JEE (Main) – 2nd Week of March 2018 onwards.
• Date of Pen & Paper Based Exam – 8th April 2018.
• Dates of Computer Based Exam – 15th and 16th April 2018.

JEE (Main) 2018 Exam Online Application Process
The CBSE Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 Online Application will be started from 1st December 2017. The online mode of application is Online through JEE application Portal. Step by step application process described below.
■ For applying JEE (Main) 2018 Exam Online, visit the Application portal, https://jeemain.nic.in and then Click on the “Apply for JEE (Main) 2018 Exam”.
■ Before Online Application scanned the Candidate’s photograph, Signature and Guardian Signature for upload at the time of Online Application.
■ Now fill the Online Application Form correctly with all your details information and then upload the scanned photograph and signatures. And then Click on the Final Submit option for registration. Note down the Application Number for further log into this portal.
■ Now you have to pay the JEE (Main) 2018 Exam Application Fee through Online (Credit Card / Debit Card / Paytm / Internet Banking) or through Bank e-Challan (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank).
■ After Successful payment, download the Confirmation Page. No need to send it to anywhere by post. Keep it for future reference.

Exam Pattern of JEE (Main) 2018 Exam
■ The CBSE Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 has two papers, Paper 1 for admission on B.E./B.Tech courses and Paper 2 for admission on B.Arch/B.Planning courses.
■ One eligible candidate can apply for both the Papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) or only one Paper (1 or 2).
■ Paper 1 contains total 90 Marks MCQ type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subjects. Total time allowed for this exam is 3 hours.
■ Paper 2 contains total 82 questions from Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test. Each question carries different marks.
Admit Card for JEE (Main) 2018 Exam
Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 Admit Card will available form the 2nd week of March 2018. Candidates have to download their Admit Card from https://jeemain.nic.in website. Just log in to this website with the ‘Application Number’ and Password then download your admit card.
JEE (Main) Admit Card will contain the Name of the Examination Center, Exam Date and Time and other important information. Candidates have to carry one photo ID card along with the JEE (Main) Admit Card at the exam hall.
Result & Rank Card of JEE (Main) 2018 Exam
The result of JEE (Main) Paper -1 Exam will be published on 31st April 2018 on the JEE (Main) website. Candidates can download their Rank Card by login with their ‘Application Number’ and Date of Birth. Results for the Paper-2 exam will be published on 31st May 2018 and candidates also download their rank from the website.
Cut off Marks for JEE (Main) 2018 Exam
JEE Main cut off Marks is the minimum marks needed by the candidates for admission to top-level engineering colleges in India. The JEE (Main) cut off marks depends upon various factors like question difficulty level, number of applicants etc. And it varies every year. The last year cut off marks was 81 out of 90 for General Category Students.
