The University of Burdwan organised two year B.Ed programme in the Department of Education, Golapbag campus. Eligible candidates can apply online for this B.Ed programme. The online application form will be available from the 3rs week of June 2019 official website of Burdwan University.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed Admission on BU

Candidates master to fulfil the following eligibility guidelines to apply for two year B.Ed programme under the University of Burdwan.

1. Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in the B.Sc and/or M.Sc or B.E. / B.Tech which specialisation in science and mathematics with 55% marks.
2. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC, ST and Physically challenged candidates.
3. Age of the Fresh candidates as on 30th June 2019 shall not exceed 38 years and there shall be a relaxation of 5 years in favour of SC, ST and PH candidates.
4. The ratio for Home University students and other University students shall be 80:20 as per government order.

Available Method Subjects for B.Ed Course

The University of Burdwan providing the following method subjects for two year B.Ed programme.

Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed), who did not study at the degree level at least two of the method subject available in any college will not be considered for admission when if their names are found in the list. Deputed candidates have to take the subject as the fast method in their approved teacher.

Intake Capacity

There are total 50 seats available for two year B.Ed programme under Burdwan University campus.

Among the total seats, 25 seats reserved for Deputed candidates and remaining 25 seats available for Fresh candidates (B.U – 20, O.U – 5).

Online Application Process

The Application for admission to b.Ed programme will be made through online mode only. The online application form will be available from the 3rd week of June 2019 on Burdwan University website (www.buruniv.ac.in).

Candidates have to pay the application fees of Rs. 300 through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / Allahabad Bank e-challan after submission the online application form.

Selection Procedure

For Fresh Candidates: The Merit list for admission in B.Ed programme shall be prepared on the basis of their Grade Points. The Grade Points will be calculated as per the following norms.

For Deputed Candidates: The merit list for the Deputed candidates self be prepared on the basis of their approved length of service.

In case of the same length of service of two or more candidates, the candidates having higher academic score will be considered and in case of similarity in the length of service as well as academic score the candidate, who will be senior in age will be considered.

Provisional merit list for  B.Ed Programme 2019 will be published on the Burdwan University website on the 3rd week of July 2019. The merit list will be published in a PDF format and it will contain the Name, transaction number, Category, Method Subject, Grade Points and Rank of the candidates.

Admission Fees

The Admission fees for B.Ed programme on Burdwan University is Rs. 10730 for Deputed Candidates and Rs. 4230 for Fresh Candidates. This amount has to be paid at the time of admission.
