West Bengal government has announced a new WB Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme 2022 for women heads of families. Under this new scheme, women will get a monthly secured income from the Government of West Bengal. In the Lakshmir scheme, govt. will provide monthly Rs. 500 to families of general category (Yearly Rs. 6,000) and Rs. 1,000 to families of SC/ST (Yearly Rs. 12,000).

Eligibility Criteria

- All women age between 25 and 65 years old is eligible to get the benefit of the scheme.

- Those general category citizens who have more than 2 hectares of land cannot apply under this scheme

- 1.6 crore households of West Bengal will get benefit from this scheme.
- With the help of this scheme, nearly 10% to 20% of the monthly expenditure of the beneficiary will be covered.
