Candidates for the post of Constable on West Bengal Police Department will be selected by the following process –

Preliminary Written Exam Question Pattern
At first, candidates have to seat for a Preliminary Written exam of 100 Marks. Time allowed for this exam will 1 hour.
- All the questions are MCQ type and will carry 1 mark each. Total marks 100.
- The question paper for this Preliminary Exam will be in both Bengali and Nepali medium.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer attempt.
- Candidates must have to obtain the qualifying marks for attending the next selection level (i.e. Physical Measurement Test).
- Questions for this exam will set from the Secondary Level (Madhayamik) syllabus.
