West Bengal Primary Education Board announced that only D.Ed trained candidates are eligible for West Bengal Primary TET 2015 examination. On 16th February, a notice published on the official website of West Bengal Primary Education Board stated about that. The examination date, procedure and rules are published later on the official website.
MHRD authority already informed that, after 31st March, 2014 no candidates can join as a teaches without teaching training (D.Ed). For that West Bengal Primary Education announced primary TET examination on 30th March, 2014. But due to election the exam date postponed. After that State Government requested to Central Government for relaxation on training but there was no reply for MHRD. So, it is quite conformed that only D.Ed trained candidates can apply for West Bengal Primary TET 2015 examination. Total vacancy on Primary school is 40,000 but total trained candidates in West Bengal is 19,000.
First West Bengal Primary TET examination was held on 2013. Then total vacancy was 35,000 and total candidates were 25 lakh. On TET 2013 only 18,000 candidates joined as a primary teacher. The state government announced that those candidates who were unsuccessful in Primary TET 2013, can re-apply for TET 2014 without any application fees, by only showing their TET 2013 admit card. On Primary TET 2014, there was no mention about D.Ed training so many higher secondary passed candidates also apply for TET 2014 by paying Rs. 100/- on UBI bank. One of the big problem is, total vacancy for Primary TET 2015 is 40,000 but in West Bengal there are only 19,000 D.Ed trained candidates. On 16th February, 2015 notice it was clearly mention that, all the notices about Primary TET are canceled. So, it is clear that only trained candidates are eligible for West Bengal Primary TET examination in future.
The Primarily TET examination 2015 will be organised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) rules. All the syllabus for this examination is conducted by NCTE. Eligibility for West Bengal Primary TET, candidates must passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) and must have two years D.Ed training.
